Someone was dreaming of a nicotine-, caffeine- and cash-filled Christmas early Sunday morning.

Atlanta police responding to a report of a prowler behind Sylvan Food Mart in the 1700 block of Sylvan Road in southwest Atlanta found a hole in a brick wall. They also found a sledgehammer, two cash registers and cardboard boxes filled with tobacco and soda products, said Atlanta police spokeswoman Kim Jones.

Police said a security camera outside the store had been disabled.

The cash registers and merchandise were returned to a store employee who arrived at the scene.

A white 1999 Oldsmobile Intrigue bearing Georgia license plate BTH-7467 and containing tools commonly used in burglaries was impounded nearby at 919 Victory Drive, police said, but no suspect was taken into custody.
