The Brookhaven City Council unanimously denied a rezoning request which would allow a mixed use development. The request was made by Terwilliger Pappas Multi-Family LLC, for a building with 121 residential units, 3,600 square feet of live-work units and 9,000 square feet of ground floor commercial space located at 1411, 1417, 1423 and 1427 Dresden Drive.
The denial was recommended by the city’s Planning Commission, but 86 residents also expressed their opposition against the rezoning, saying the development was to big for the small area of the street, would drastically alter the character of the area and bring undesired traffic complications.
