Extensive delays on MARTA’s Red and Gold lines have been reported as a result of a technical issue at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport, officials said Thursday night.

The technical issue at the airport had to do with a stalled train, MARTA spokeswoman Stepnay Fisher told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

The stall happened in a spot where multiple trains can pass through and trains could not travel through there until the disabled train was moved, Fisher said.

That disabled train has been moved to the rail yard for service and trains are moving north and southbound again, but with delays.
