Braselton’s Mayor and Town Council will hold a public hearing at 4 p.m. Jan. 9 at the Braselton Police and Municipal Court Building, 5040 State Route 53 to consider annexation and zoning changes for a housing development on the south side of Duncan Creek Road. Meritage Homes of Georgia is seeking to develop a little over 141 acres owned by Fountainhead Residential Dev. Corp. Inc. with 326 detached single-family lots.
Meritage Homes plans to build two different sized homes, the first a minimum 1,600 square feet with a 2-car garage priced beginning in the high $200’s. The second would be a minimum of 1,800 square feet with the option of a 3-car garage priced in the mid-$300’s and up. Amenities will include a pool, cabana, tot lot and 28 acres of passive open space.
