A Bartow County deputy has been jailed on domestic violence charges.

Bartow Sheriff Clark Millsap said off-duty deputy Jeffery Todd Rogers, 41, was arrested Sunday on felony charges of aggravated assault and several misdemeanors -- terroristic threats, pointing a gun at another person and cruelty to children. Monday, Rogers was in jail awaiting a bond hearing.

Rogers has been placed on administrative leave until the conclusion of the investigation, said Millsap.

The incident occurred at Rogers' Bartow home. His victims were his wife and a relative's children, officials said.
