Judge Rosemary Barkett will leave the 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals on Sept. 30, opening up another vacancy to fill for President Barack Obama.

Barkett on Monday said she will join the Iran-United States Claims Tribunal in The Hague, which was established in 1981 to resolve claims between the two countries. Barkett, the former chief justice of the Florida Supreme Court, was appointed to the appeals court by President Bill Clinton in 1994. The 12-member court currently has two vacancies.
