Cobb County police continued a search Saturday for a robbery suspect who held up a Best Bank inside a Kroger grocery store in Mableton.

Police said a man walked into the Kroger  on Floyd Road on Friday and over to the bank just inside the store.

He passed a “demand note” and was given an undetermined amount of cash. The man left in a light-colored metallic car, police said.

The suspect is described as a black male in his late 30s to early 40s who wearing a white button-down shirt and a dark blazer. He also had on a Kangol-style hat and eyeglasses.

Police released photos from bank surveillance cameras, and anyone with knowledge about the case is asked to call police at (770) 499-3945.

In June, a man in a Sponge Bob Squarepants hat robbed a Wells Fargo bank across the street from the Best Bank and Kroger on Floyd Road. That suspect handed the teller a demand note and indicated he had a gun, which was never shown, the authorities said.

The Wells Fargo robber got a way with an undetermined amount of money.
