Austell officials will hold a public meeting at 6 p.m. April 15 at City Hall, 2716 Broad St. SW to help residents better understand Cobb’s new Flex bus service that began operation Monday.

This on-demand, curbside bus service is open to all passengers, offering door-to-door service by reservation and walk-up service from one of three collection points from any place in these three South Cobb zones to any other destination within those zones or a transfer to Cobb County Transit Route 30.

Collection points are the Publix Super Market, 3721 New Macland Road, Powder Springs; Horseshoe Bend Plaza, 2200 Powder Springs Road, Marietta and Downtown Austell Roundabout, 5850 Love St.

Riders may call 770-528-1053 between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Mondays through Fridays to schedule reservations from two to 24 hours in advance.

FLEX fare is $2.50 with free transfers to CCT routes.
