The Austell City Council voted Monday to place three businesses on probation for selling alcohol to minors.

Marathon, 5184 Austell Road, was given a six-month probation, meaning the alcohol license will be pulled if the business is caught selling alcohol to minors within that time period.

Texaco, 2671 Jefferson St., and La Salsa Mexican Restaurant, 2856 Veterans Memorial Highway, received three-month probations.

The case against Sweetwater Inn BBQ, 2471 Veterans Memorial Highway, was withdrawn since the business has been sold and the building will be demolished.
