Don't store those sweaters for the summer just yet.
Forecasters are predicting that morning temperatures later this week will likely be in the 30s across much of metro Atlanta.
Channel 2 Action News meteorologist Karen Minton said temperatures will still be a few degrees above normal Tuesday afternoon, but will fall well below normal Wednesday and Thursday mornings.
Afternoon highs will be around 77 degrees on Tuesday, but only in the mid-60s Wednesday and Thursday, Minton said.
While morning lows those days will likely be in the low 40s in town, the mercury could dip into the 30s in the suburbs, especially on Thursday morning, forecasters said.
Normal highs for this time of the year are in the low 70s, with normal lows around 50 degrees.
An upper level disturbance will push a few clouds into metro Atlanta on Tuesday, and there's a slight chance of a shower well north of town. Beyond that, Minton is forecasting sunny skies the remainder of the week.
Afternoon temperatures will warm back into the mid-70s on Friday and Saturday, with morning lows in the low 40s on Friday and low 50s on Saturday.
