Atlanta school board to pick new interim member

Atlanta school board members Monday are expected to announce a temporary replacement for District 2 board member Khaatim Sherrer El, who resigned last month. The board called for a special election Nov. 8 to fill the seat, and candidates are qualifying this week. The board is holding its monthly meeting Monday at the district's headquarters on 130 Trinity Ave. Atlanta, 30303. Information: www.atlanta.k12.ga.us
