Atlanta residents, business leaders and additional stakeholders can ask questions and comment about the city's proposed budget during a live public hearing and virtual town hall meeting, 6:15 p.m. May 11 in the council chamber at Atlanta City Hall, according to a post on the Atlanta city council's Facebook page.

For fiscal year 2018, the city of Atlanta said it is proposing a $2 billion operating fund budget, an increase of $30.2 million over the fiscal year 2017 adopted budget. The proposed general fund budget is $637 million, up $29.8 million over the fiscal year 2017 adopted budget, the city said.
