Q: There seems to be an increasing number of motorcycle and scooter fatalities in Georgia. Can you provide any statistics?

A: Fatalities among motorcyclists in Georgia rose from 55 in 1994 to 140 in 2009, according to the Governor's Office of Highway Safety 2011 Crash Analysis and Statistics Information Report. Seventy-two percent of motorcyclists were injured or killed in crashes in 2009 compared to 16 percent for passenger cars, and males accounted for 88 percent of motorcycle fatalities in 2009. Fatalities increased by 112 percent from 1998-2009, and registered motorcycles increased by 116 percent. The motorcyclist fatality rate in 2009 was 7.48 fatalities for every 100 registered motorcycles. Nationwide, 4,502 people died in motorcycle crashes in 2010, and motorcycle-related deaths have increased by 55 percent since 2000, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Q: I read “Family Feud” built a set near the Atlanta Civic Center. Have they moved from Chicago? Can you tell me more?

A: "Family Feud" built a studio at the Atlanta Civic Center to tape shows from May to July. It was the second straight year that the long-running game show has taped in Atlanta, where host Steve Harvey lives, the AJC reported.
