A man accused of burglarizing an Atlanta library early Tuesday didn't get very far.

Atlanta police officers found a broken side window when they arrived at the Perry Homes branch library on Bolton Road, Officer Kim Jones told the AJC. The window had been broken by a large metal water cover, Jones said.

Noises emanating from an adjacent wooded area led officers to the suspect, Alfred Fenn, who was on the ground and not moving, Jones said. Fenn was bleeding from his hand and officers found blood inside the building.

Two computers and a keyboard were missing from the library, but were later found inside a trash bin. It was unknown Tuesday afternoon if the computers were damaged, a spokeswoman for the library system told the AJC.

Fenn is charged with burglary.
