Six Flags Over Georgia will be allowed to sell alcoholic beverages at nine, instead of four, adult concession areas this year.

This change was approved 5-0 Tuesday by the Cobb County Board of Commissioners.

The amusement park in Austell was approved for an alcohol license last year by the commissioners.

No alcohol-related incidents were reported last year, said Dana R. Johnson, director of the Cobb County Community Development Agency.

Alcoholic beverages may not be carried outside of these areas at the park or guests will be removed from the park without a refund.

Those wanting to purchase alcohol must present a valid picture ID, be at least 21, wear a plastic wristband and purchase only one alcoholic beverage per person per ID.
