In June Peachtree Corners announced plans to form a Community Resource Program to aid those in the community seeking family or financial help and asked for volunteers to help organizing the new program. During its inaugural meeting Aug. 21, the 22-member committee formed two sub committees; one to focus on identifying needs for Peachtree Corners by visiting a local church, school or community organization and the other to create a game plan for needed actions.
The program is designed to provide resources by serving as a clearinghouse for information and a point of contact for those in need. Ultimately the committee will develop a Community Resources Guide for Peachtree Corners.
The next Community Resource Committee meeting will be Sept. 25 at City Hall.
