Gwinnett County will spend about $250,000 for an outdoor classroom and trails at different locations under plans approved by the Board of Commissioners Tuesday.

The plans include a $100,000 outdoor classroom along the Ivy Creek Greenway Trail at the Gwinnett Environmental and Heritage Center, as well as $150,000 for trails at Tribble Mill Park. A state grant will cover the cost of the Tribble Mill Park trails, while the county’s 2009 special local option sales tax will cover the cost of the classroom.
