Gwinnett Schools police are investigating an alleged “strong arm rape” of a 14-year-old female student at Mill Creek High by a 16-year-old male student.
No charges have been filed, but the investigation continues and the school has moved forward with disciplinary actions, schools spokesperson Sloan Roach said.
According to the schools police report, the incident occurred at 10:30 a.m. on Feb. 9.
The 14-year-old, a ninth grader at the school, made the allegation of a sexual assault against the 16-year-old, who is described as an acquaintance in the police report. According to the report, the assault is alleged to have occurred in an elevator in the school building.
The 14-year-old told several friends what happened the next day, the report says, and the students told school administrators. The school district’s school resource officers are conducting the criminal investigation.
“From a school perspective, we are taking these allegations very seriously,” Roach said.
