Just months after Target stores were the focus of hackers, the popular store was once again having problems with its registers.

Customers across the country hit social media to register their complaints with the register problems Target stores were having, KTLA reported.

Target posted on its Twitter feed that there were issues at select stores but that it wasn't related to security.

Customers were lined up at checkouts, but were not able to pay for what they were buying with debit cards, Fox59 reported.

Six months ago, hackers attacked Target's servers, stealing 40 million customers' credit and debit card numbers and PIN data .  In January, the company admitted that 70 million customers' personal information like emails was also stolen, KTLA reported.
