Channel 2 Action News meteorologist Brad Nitz forecasts “a partly cloudy start to the day. It’ll be dry, a little bit of sunshine mixed in. It’s going to be humid.
“Then as we warm up we’ll see some scattered showers and storms develop. So it’ll be one of these days where we’ll have a partly cloudy sky through much of the day but through the heat of the afternoon into the evening hours, some isolated showers and storms will start to develop.”
Some areas can expect heavy rain, gusty winds, a lot of cloud to ground lighting and threat for some small hail later on.
Overnight rain means a foggy start to the day for some.

And as Channel 2 Action News meteorologist Brian Monahan notes, you’ll want to reach for some cool hydration today:
Steamy with some storms this afternoon -- we'll call it a "large" cup of iced coffee day today!
