A 64-year-old man’s eye socket was broken after he was repeatedly punched in the face, the Hall County Sheriff’s Office said.

According to The Gainesville Times, the alleged incident occurred Monday in the 6800 block of Capitola Farm Road. It was not immediately clear what prompted the brutal attack.

Leroy Alonso Anderson, the 36-year-old man accused of throwing the punches, was in the county jail on charges of aggravated battery, the newspaper reported.
