What seemed like a minor traffic dispute ended with a motorcyclist threatening to kill a woman headed to a Powder Springs day care to pick up her 4-year-old.

Mary Watson was driving to Oxford Academy on Lost Mountain Road on Friday when she said a motorcyclist nearly rear-ended her.

“I had to come to a stop,” she told Channel 2 Action News. “The car in front of me stopped. And I don’t think (the motorcyclist) was paying attention.”

The motorcyclist then drove up to the side of Watson’s window, followed her, and threatened to kill her before speeding away, Channel 2 reported.

Watson alerted officials at the day care, who notified families to be on the lookout for the motorcyclist and to call police.

“I’m constantly looking for a motorcyclist, trying to see I can identify the guy,” Watson told Channel 2. “… I’m always watching my back.”

Watson described the motorcyclist as wearing camouflage pants and a black leather jacket.
