The GBI announced Friday that three more suspects have been charged in a double homicide investigation in Social Circle, bringing the number of arrests to four.

The charges stem from the shooting deaths of James Evans, 27, and Jaymie Whitlock, 32, who were taken from a house in Monroe on May 15, the GBI said. Their bodies were found later that day in the middle of rural Thurman Baccus Road in Social Circle, AJC.com previously reported.

Webb and Wilcox face counts of murder, felony murder, aggravated assault, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime and street gang participation, the GBI said.

All four suspects were charged with party to a crime, while Marsh also faces gang-related and firearm-related charges, the GBI said.

One of the four suspects knew the victims, but the GBI did not reveal which one.

More than a dozen agencies have participated in the investigation, authorities said.
