Three women who pleaded guilty to beating a woman for three hours after she sat on a hamburger will serve five years on probation, according to a release from the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office.
Chazmyn Donald, 23, Armonni Cofer, 24, and Tekia Strickland, 25, pleaded guilty to aggravated assault, aggravated battery, false imprisonment and other charges, according to the release. The women originally pleaded not guilty in the February 2015 incident.
The women were inside an apartment on Northside Drive when the assault victim, Myriah Pointer, accidentally sat on a hamburger, according to the release. Donald got mad and began to punch and kick the Pointer in the face. Cofer and Strickland joined her.
The women also recorded two minutes of the three-hour beating and uploaded it to social media, according to the release. The video showed Pointer getting kicked 50 times.
Pointer was knocked unconscious twice during the assault and suffered two black eyes, two chipped teeth, a concussion and multiple injuries around her face and head.
The three women then took Pointer’s cellphone so she wouldn’t call police and forced her to stay inside the apartment, blocking all exits for two hours.
Donald, Cofer and Strickland must attend 100 hours of anger management counseling and pay $25,000 in restitution.
