An 18-year-old was killed after he crashed head-first into another vehicle Tuesday evening, Athens-Clarke County police said.

The teenager, identified as Joseph D. Moon, was driving a go-kart on Hull Road when he crashed into the dividing line and into the car, Athens-Clarke County police spokesman Epifiano Rodriguez said.

Rodriguez said the driver of the other car stayed on the scene.
