Police in Athens said they got the runaround from a 21-year-old woman shortly after she allegedly stabbed her boyfriend, a University of Georgia student, in the head, the Athens Banner-Herald reported.

Police said they found Lauren Nicole Jones, a University of North Georgia student, in bed in her apartment shortly after the incident early Wednesday, according to the report.

When asked about the stabbing, the woman reportedly told police that she did not know what they were talking about. Asked again, police said Jones responded, “You should probably look up the police reports from Oconee County.”

Jones appeared to be very intoxicated and slurring her words, police said. She was charged with aggravated assault, according to the report.

The Banner-Herald did not specify the boyfriend’s injuries.
