Waffle House restaurants in Coweta, Fayette and Clayton counties were targeted by what police are calling a serial robber.
A man with a gun recently robbed several metro area Waffle House locations, first holding up customers and then demanding cash from the register, Channel 2 Action News reported.
Fayetteville police spokesman Lt. Mike Whitlow said two Coweta locations were hit Monday and Tuesday.
Police told the station they want to catch the suspect before an armed customer is attacked.
“Eventually this is going to escalate and this is going to get worse,” Whitlow said.
If a customer is robbed, Whitlow said they should, “Do what they tell you. Be a good witness.”
