A Georgia man was arrested and charged after authorities say he "shadowed" a family to Broward County to be with a 14-year-old girl, according to the Sun-Sentinel.

Kenton Beck of Lawrenceville traveled to Fort Lauderdale when he found out the girl’s family would visit the area, finding a nearby hotel room, the Sun-Sentinel reported. He had been communicating with the teenager through Kik, an online app.

Beck, 22, and the teen were caught outside the hotel by the girl’s mother, who called police, the Sun-Sentinel reported.

Beck was charged with sexual assault on a victim 12 years of age or older, according to Broward jail records.
