A man in Iowa is accused of stealing over 100 tons of gravel from a county stockpile site.

The Jasper County Sheriff's Office posted on its Facebook page that they responded Monday to a call about a potential theft at the gravel stockpile site. Deputies said they caught Ted Duvall, 52, hauling gravel from the county site to a private residence. Duvall was using a backhoe to load a dump truck with the gravel, according to deputies.

The sheriff's office said the gravel had an estimated value of $2,500.

Duvall was arrested and charged with second-degree theft, which is a felony.
