A 17-year-old resident fatally shot someone during a break-in at a Cobb County home Sunday night, according to police. Now, two of the suspect’s accomplices are facing murder charges.

Machavellia Bagsby, 21, died at the scene on Olive Springs Road in Marietta, Cobb police spokesman Sgt. Wayne Delk said.

Police were sent to the home about 9 p.m. on the report of a shooting.  When they arrived, they found 21-year-old Taruss Miller with a gunshot wound to the leg.

Police said Miller, Bagsby and an unnamed 16-year-old were involved in a home invasion and attempted armed robbery at the location. At some point, a teen living in the home shot them, Delk said.

Miller and the 16-year-old are charged with murder, aggravated assault, armed robbery, burglary and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.

The shooting is still under investigation.
