A disagreement began between the couple during their wedding reception. Shortly later, it turned much worse.
Police say Dr. George Samson killed his new bride Kelly, and then himself hours after the celebration ended.
"The investigation has revealed that there was a verbal argument between the couple toward the end of the reception," Chief Deputy Sheriff Clark Cottom told the Indianapolis Star.
Cottom confirmed, “there were a total of three very brief 911 calls, which in the first two the caller disconnected."
Dispatchers were on the phone with Kelly Samson a third time when they heard what sounded like multiple gunshots.
"The phone call went dead in a short amount of time. Dispatchers immediately dispatched deputies to the scene," Cottom told WTHI.
It’s not clear what the fight was about.
"We are still gathering statements from the attendants," Cottom said.
