Atlanta Municipal Court is a mammoth operation processing thousands of cases a year and collecting millions in fines. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution found that judges preside over courtrooms packed with dozens of defendants. But the process can be confusing and penalties stiff for those who struggle to pay fines. Has a traffic offense or other misdemeanor ever sent you to Atlanta Municipal Court? We’d like to hear about your experience. Did the judge give you a break? Did you get an oversized fine? Did you have to wait for hours or was justice swift? Were you given a payment plan only to find out that meant you were going on probation?
