A metro Atlanta man had more than $3.7 million in cash and a stolen handgun in his van when he was arrested Tuesday, according to multiple media reports.

A narcotics agent with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency arrested Thomas Shane Randler, 41, of Douglasville, on I-22 in Marion County, The Associated Press and AL.com reported.

Marion County sheriff’s deputies, Winfield, Ala., police and the Marion district attorney were involved in the investigation, according to the reports.

Randler, who was driving a Ford Express, is charged with second-degree receiving stolen property, according to the report.

Marion County is about 220 miles west of downtown Atlanta.
