A Marietta man will spend 20 years in prison and 10 years on probation for posting ads on Craigslist, luring users of the website to his Thurleston Court neighborhood and robbing them at gunpoint.
One man thought he was buying a cellphone for his wife when Christopher Jordan Intemann robbed him of $500 and an iPhone on Oct. 29, 2015, said Kim Isaza, the spokeswoman for Cobb County District Attorney Vic Reynolds.
Weeks later, on Nov. 22, two more people were robbed of their phones and $1,000 when they responded to another ad from Intemann, Isaza said.
Intemann, 23, was taken into custody in December 2015 and has been in the Cobb County Adult Detention Center ever since.
He admitted to posting both ads, but said other people committed the armed robberies, according to the district attorney’s office.
Prosecutor Brendan Murphy said the case serves as a reminder to the public to be cautious when shopping online.

"More importantly,” he said, “it’s a message to those who would prey on our community. You will get caught, you will be prosecuted, and you will go to prison for a long time.”
Intemann will get credit for time served, Isaza said.
