The burglars who stole guns and ammunition from a DeKalb County gun range this week seemed to know their way around the inside of the store.

A patron of Range, Guns & Safe in Tucker, Ron Moon, told Channel 2 Action News on Wednesday that the thieves “knew exactly where to come in.”

The burglars got about 20 guns from a glass case and 1,000 bullets from the range, Channel 2 reported. The thieves entered through a hole that had been cut in the roof.

Moon also told Channel 2, “They (burglars) hugged the wall, they knew exactly where the motion detectors were.

“They only went to one case of guns because they knew that if they went to any other cases of guns they would’ve set off the motion detectors.”

Police said there had been three burglary attempts at the range before Wednesday. Managers were in the process of installing more seurity cameras.
