Funeral arrangements have been made for a 21-month-old girl who died earlier this week.

Ella Grayce Pointer’s funeral will be held 3 p.m. Friday at the Chapel of the Lester C. Litesey Funeral Home in Cedartown. Family asked that visitors wear a Disney character shirt or bright colors to honor the girl, who was a fan of Mickey and Minnie Mouse.

Autopsy results were completed Tuesday by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation in Pointer’s death.

Authorities are waiting for forensics testing and details from the investigation are complete before releasing a cause of death.

The girl died Sunday at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston after she was found unresponsive at a Cedartown apartment. She was left in the care of her mom’s boyfriend Dustin D. Putnal and an unnamed roommate while the mom was at work.

No arrests have been made in connection with the toddler’s death, but Putnal was arrested for probation violation. He was previously arrested on drug and theft charges.

Though authorities have not released the autopsy, the family said they believe the girl was murdered. They said Pointer had a fractured skull, internal bleeding and signs of sexual abuse.

Pointer’s death sparked the online hashtag #JusticeForEllaGrayce with many wondering what happened to the girl.

“The family wishes to thank the residents of Cedartown, Polk County and surrounding areas for their out pouring of love that has been shown to their family,” an online obituary said. “Please continue to keep this family in your prayers.”

A wake is scheduled from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Chapel of the Lester C. Litesey Funeral Home.
