Deputies took two drug trafficking suspects and 185 pounds of marijuana off Gwinnett County streets in a sting operation Tuesday, officials said.

Mauro Zaldivar, 31, and Bernardo Saenz, 40, were arrested at the Horizon Inn at 6187 Dawson Boulevard in Norcross, Deputy Shannon Volkodav, of the Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Office, said in a press release.

They are each charged with trafficking marijuana, which is a felony.

Investigators received tips that the men were involved in high-volume marijuana sales in Norcross and set up the sting operation. In addition to the 185 pounds of marijuana that was pre-packaged for sale, officials seized $31,000 in cash. The marijuana has an estimated street value of over $100,000, Volkodav said.

Zaldivar and Saenz were in the Gwinnett County Jail Tuesday, being held without bond.
