A teenager who had been missing nearly a week was found Thursday afternoon, Atlanta police confirmed.

Investigators found the Nya Slaughter at a Popeyes near Five Points in downtown Atlanta, police Officer Stephanie Brown said.

“She was alone and in good health at the time of recovery,” Brown said. “It has been reported that she left her home at her own will.”

Police said the 14-year-old left her home in the East Lake area on July 1.
