Taleeb Emanuel Paige had been on the run for three weeks before authorities caught up with him at a Jonesboro apartment.

Atlanta and Clayton County police caught him as he attempted to jump off of a two-story balcony, according to a police report obtained by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Cops ran to the back of the apartment, forcing Paige to ultimately run to the front of the house and surrender.

Police said Paige had shot a man and robbed him on the 1500 block of Langston Avenue in southwest Atlanta on June 8, according to an Atlanta police report.

Police found the unidentified man on a sidewalk “unresponsive…with a gunshot wound to the torso,” according to the report. He later died at Grady Memorial hospital.

Paige is in the Fulton County jail without bond. A second suspect has not been arrested.
