Agents Find Nearly $200K Worth of Marijuana in Van Disguised with Dish Network Logo

Border Patrol agents in Arizona discovered a large cache of drugs in a van that had been cloned to look like a Dish Network vehicle.

A Border Patrol canine agent alerted authorities Wednesday to a van that stopped at the Ajo Station immigration checkpoint, according to the U.S. Customs and Border Protection news release. Agents discovered numerous blocks in the van in plain sight. Those blocks were tested and determined to be marijuana, according to Border Patrol.

The van, which had been cloned with the Dish Network logo, contained more than 396 pounds of marijuana, with an estimated street value of nearly $199,000, agents said.

The driver, identified by agents as a 39-year-old male U.S. citizen, was arrested on suspicion of narcotics smuggling.
