The DeKalb Sheriff's fugitive squad arrested a man and a woman in connection with an armed robbery and shooting at a gas station on Flat Shoals Road in Decatur last September.

Andre Spriggs, 20, was arrested in Lithonia on Jan. 7. On Jan. 9, investigators arrested 26-year-old Amanda Nicole Spriggs after she was identified as also being involved. Police did not say if they were related.

They were charged with felony aggravated battery and felony armed robbery. Both are in custody at the DeKalb County Jail.

The attendant at the Texaco station, Rafrique Makani, was shot in the head during the robbery. Makani remains under medical care for his injuries.

A surveillance video in the gas station showed him being shot at close range.
