A teenage mother will spend eight years in jail after she admitted to wrapping her toddler in cellophane, hiding him in her car’s floorboard and leaving him there for hours.

Grace An, 19, reached a plea deal Wednesday, Hall County District Attorney Lee Darragh confirmed. She pleaded guilty to child cruelty, false imprisonment and reckless conduct.

An was arrested in November 2015 after a locksmith found her 16-month-old bound inside a car at a Gainesville home. The child’s hands and feet were bound and his mouth was taped, Darragh said.

He has since been adopted.

As part of her plea deal, An will have 12 years on probation and must undergo a mental evaluation and substance abuse treatment. She must also do community service and pay a $2,000 fine.

In June 2016, An was charged with simple battery and misdemeanor obstruction of an officer after allegedly "clenching her fist and striking (Hall County sheriff's officer John Bustamaunte) with her elbow," the Gainesville Times reported.
