The final two inmates who were among six prisoners who escaped from a south Georgia jail earlier this month have been caught.

Matthew Findley, 24, and Jeffery Webb, 26, were apprehended Tuesday by the U.S. Marshal’s Eastern Iowa Fugitive Task Force, according to Emanuel County (Ga.) Sheriff J. Tyson Stephens in a news release.

The men are in jail in Fort Dodge, Iowa, and will have an extradition hearing before being returned to Georgia.

Six inmates escaped from the Emanuel County Jail on Nov. 10, and four of them were caught within the first 24 hours, Stephens said.

Findley is charged with murder, and Webb is charged with aggravated assault. Both were in the Emanuel County Jail awaiting trial.

“It is extremely fortunate that no further crimes were perpetrated by any of the escapees, and that no harm came to any citizen, officer or inmate during this ordeal,” Stephens said.
