Stockbridge will swear in Frank Trammer as chief of the city’s newly formed police department on Monday.

Trammer, who most recently served as deputy chief of police for the Georgia Tech Police Department, will take the oath of office at 2 p.m. on the front steps of Stockbridge City Hall, 4640 North Henry Boulevard, in Stockbridge.

Trammer will be responsible for developing and implementing the department, whose creation the Henry County city approved early this year. He holds a bachelor of science in criminal justice from Ohio University and a master’s of public administration from Columbus State University.

“I look forward to the Stockbridge Police Department being valued by its citizens,” Trammer said in an earlier press release about his new job. “I believe that serving in law enforcement is an honor and I look forward to serving the community members of Stockbridge.”
