All northbound lanes of I-575 at Barrett Parkway have reopened following a multi-vehicle wreck that shut down northbound interstate for about an hour and backed traffic up onto I-75 during Wednesday’s morning commute.

A tractor-trailer and as many as a half-dozen smaller vehicles were involved in the wreck, which happened about 6:45 a.m., according to the WSB Traffic Center.

There were no immediate reports of serious injuries.

Authorities reopened one northbound lane just after 7:30 a.m., and all lanes were reopened a short time later.
