Nothing says “upgrade” like summer.

Like everybody else, UATL is all about the upgrade, the glow-up, the growth. To all our members who’ve grown with us as we’ve been building a more accurate outlet for representation of Atlanta and far beyond, we see you and we thank you.

Now for the next episode. Starting this week, when you look for us online, you’ll find us at UATL.com. You’ll also notice some significant upgrades to the site. We like it a lot and hope you dig it as well.

We also know looks can only get you so far, so we’ve got big stories this week you won’t find anywhere else.

Bomb Biscuit, the Black-woman-owned breakfast restaurant many consider to be one of the city’s best (as in restaurants, not just breakfast spots), is leaving it’s Old Fourth Ward location. Find out why, and where Bomb Biscuit is going, in my exclusive story below.

What else? There’s the “Black pope,” continued coverage of lawsuits against makers of hair relaxer products, a new president at Morehouse College and a new Black-owned downtown toy store introducing kids to STEAM through playtime.

We also have a big announcement: We’re screening the classic film “Hustle & Flow” May 21 at Tara Theater. And in addition to live music, food and great people, we’ll be joined by a star from the film: Ludacris. Definitely get tickets now.

Then scroll down and read the great stories in today’s newsletter, and head over to UATL.com to have a look around the new digs.

Happy Upgrade Season, friends and family. We’re glad you’re here and we hope you enjoy what’s next.
