Milton approves purchase of new ambulance

The Milton City Council recently approved a $297,917 purchase agreement with Ten-8 Fire & Safety, LLC for a new rescue-ambulance.

The city currently operates a rescue-ambulance that has been in service since 2014 and is one of the most-used vehicles in the Milton Fire-Rescue Department’s fleet. A committee of the city’s emergency medical personnel reviewed proposals submitted for the contract and selected Ten-8 Fire and Safety.

The current ambulance will rotate into reserve status once the new ambulance is delivered. The city currently uses a non-transport SUV as their backup rescue.
