Graduating seniors in 2020 from Henry County’s public schools tallied higher SAT scores than their immediate predecessors, according to data released this month by district officials.

The composite mean score for the district reached 1010 in 2020 compared to 1003 in 2019. The district’s ERW (evidence-based reading and writing) mean score increased four points from 516 to 520, and the mean score in math improved three points from 487 to 490. Luella, Stockbridge, Union Grove, and Woodland high schools all saw increases to their mean composite scores by an average of 20 points. Those schools also saw increases in both portions of the test.
