It costs a considerable amount of money to ensure upkeep on 49,000 or so tablets and electronic devices. That is how many are being maintained for students and staff by the Henry County Board of Education, which voted at its Aug. 9 regular meeting to approve a $1,507,491 contract for annual renewal of warranty repair services of those devices.

The vote to approve was unanimous. It is the final installment of an initial five-year device deployment approved by the school board in March of 2017, and it is funded through the district’s special-purpose local option sales tax. Information: henry.k12.ga.us.
