The Braselton Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on a proposed veterinarian, small animal business at 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 25 in the courtroom of the Police & Municipal Court facility, 5040 Highway 53.

The request would include construction of an 11,000 square foot building on 1.77 acres at 1051 Hwy. 124. Proposed plans include 66 parking spaces.

Animal Emergency Care of Braselton would operate as an animal emergency center only to provide animal care on nights and weekends when family practice veterinarians are closed. Currently, the closest emergency animal hospital is 30 to 40 miles away.

The Braselton Mayor and Town Council will hold a public hearing on the request after the planning commission review at 4 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 4 in the same location.
